Co-sleeper comes in handy

We did receive many baby items donation from friends and family.  This co-sleeper is from one of my best friends Lisa, Riley's godmother.  Riley was sleeping in this co-sleeper in our room for the first 3.5 months.  During the day, we pulled this to the living room so she could be with us.  We also wanted her to get used to the noise when she slept.

This is Riley's changing area which is the bathroom counter top. Although we do have a changing area in her own room, it makes cleaning so much easier with a sink next to it.

We are home!

Riley and I were discharged from the hospital on day 3.  See how Daddy was so excited.  No more sleeping on the small couch in the hospital.

Riley is home!

Thank You All for Visiting

Welcome to the world!

My due date for Riley was May 10.  During the last month of pregnancy, I felt like I couldn't wait for any longer. I had so much pressure on my tummy and my whole body was all swollen.  I couldn't sit, stand or sleep for long at all.  I had to go use the bathroom literally every 30 minutes!  I just wanted to get over the whole process as soon as possible.  Finally, my water broke on May 8th.   I was told go check in Dr. Hamilton's office. In the mean time, Nathan was very nervous walking around house while trying to figure what to pack.  After checking to ensure it's really water (not something else), he let me check into the hospital. Yay!! I was pretty excited. :)

Since I was only 4 cm dilated, I was given Pitocin for induction.

After being induced for 10 hours and pushing for an hour, Our baby finally landed on daddy's hands on May 9, 2012.  Thank you Dr. Hamilton.  He was awesome throughout the whole process and guess what? He's staying with me for the whole pushing time.  Of course, my hubby did great for supporting as well.  Welcome to the world, Riley! She was born 7lb 7.6 oz and 21in long.

We've created this blog so we may share Riley's life stories with you all friends and family. :)
